Bike Elf and the Boys & Girls Club Smoky Mountains – Sevierville are excited to introduce our new partnership with a program kickoff.
Bike Elf will challenge approximately 165 BGC Smoky Mountain – Sevierville summer program participants to a Fit Club challenge. The top 25 students participating in the Club’s summer Fit Club program could earn a bicycle by exemplary participation.
Exemplary performance is measured by highest attendance in the Fit Club program over the entire summer and completing the PACER Fitness test. Because the PACER fitness test is typically administered to children, the point of the test is not to see who’s the fastest. It’s to teach children that they can stay in shape by learning to pace themselves. The PACER fitness test is a great tool for getting kids to enjoy working out. It also helps them see that pacing themselves can provide a great workout.
Bike Elf is thrilled to be expanding into Sevier County and to be working with the BGC Smoky Mountains – Sevierville. The Boys and Girls Club of the Smoky Mountains (BGCSM) guides almost 1600 Sevier County youth to become productive, caring and responsible citizens via five club locations in Sevier County: Gatlinburg, Kodak, Pigeon Forge, Sevierville and Seymour.
